The solenoid is an electronically controlled valve that allows air to pass through it when activated.
Each of our solenoids is equipped with two input ports, and one output port. The input ports are labeled as ①, and the output port is labeled as ②.
These solenoids can also be tied together in a "piggyback" configuration, either to save space or open one of the 1/8" BSP ports on your compressor or manifold.
NOTE: When connecting two solenoids in a piggyback configuration, it does not matter which solenoid controls the front or rear locker. Please note, however, that our wiring harness will not allow you to activate the front locker (switch 2) without the rear locker active (switch 1).
Disassembly and Cleaning
In the event where the solenoid is no longer operating as expected, they can be disassembled and cleaned. This can help in cases where the solenoid valve is stuck open or closed.
Simply clean these components with a mild detergent and water. Fully dry before reassembly.
