These issues may be the result of a malware infection that has been identified within a number of devices in July 2021. To check if your device has been compromised by malware, follow these few simple steps:
- From the device Main Menu, open ‘Settings’.
- Select ‘Memory’
- Scroll down and select ‘Memory used by apps’
- Within the list of apps, check for either the following apps:
- System Contact
If your device is infected with malware, it may have either of these apps installed and a Factory Reset should be performed, as well as a LINX update.
